The main event that all Poker players from around the world have been eagerly waiting for is finally here. The World Series of Poker is soon to begin. The number of players who are to participate in this year’s event is under 2,000 where as for last one the strength was 6,000 and for some years before that nearly 7,000. This has given an insight in to the effect financial constraints on Poker and its players. With the buy in priced as high as $10,000 it is certainly not a game that everyone can afford to play.

This has not deterred the officials who are predicting the coming few days will bring in more players. This is supported by the fact that players can register even on the last day of the tournament.

This year’s World Event is organized at Rio Pavilion. The No Limit Texas Hold’em poker game tournament would be spread across four days. 3,000 players can be seated in this room. The next few days will prove to be crucial for players as they will realize where they stand when it comes to this tournament. This will play an important role in short listing the winners.

The officials are planning on avoiding last year’s confusion. Due to the number of players who turned out for the last day of the event, the officials were unable to entertain and accommodate many of them. So in order to avoid such issues anyone who has signed up for a game will have to choose another day to play if their chosen day is sold out.
